Next week, San Francisco State University will join colleges and
universities nationwide in commemorating International Education Week
from November 17-21, 2003.
International Education Week promotes and celebrates the benefits of
international education and exchange. During the week, SFSU faculty,
students and staff will showcase the wealth of international expertise
and opportunities available on campus, through a diverse set of more
than 80 programs and activities including a variety of cultural
presentations, speeches, symposia, international film festivals, panel
discussions and workshops organized and sponsored by over 35 SFSU
departments, offices and student organizations. These events increase
public awareness of the value and importance of international education.
Please visit our web site at: http://www.sfsu.edu/~oip
for a complete schedule of events and activities that are planned as
part of SFSU's celebration of International Education Week.
We hope that you will be able to attend some of the many campus-wide
activities held next week, join us in celebrating our campus diversity,
and affirm the critical role international education and exchange
programs play in contributing to peace, prosperity and democracy.
Regards,
Dr. Yenbo Wu, Director
Office of International Programs
