Advanced Judo Clinic and Women�s Competition East Bay Judo Institute and
Kokushikan University Women�s Judo Team East
Bay Judo Institute (EBJI), under the direction of Dr. David Matsumoto,
and Daiheigen Judo Yudanshakai is pleased to announce the visit of the
Kokushikan University women�s judo team in February 2003. The
Kokushikan team is headed by Professor Yasuhiko Moriwaki, former world
champion, and Professor Yasufumi Koyama. All female judo players on the
USJI elite jr. or sr. rosters are invited to train with the EBJI and
Kokushikan University team during this time. Training
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 17-21 February 2003 EBJI (El Cerrito, CA) (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) San
Francisco State University, Burk Hall Room 6 (basement) (Tuesday and
Thursday) Clinic: On
Saturday 22 February 2003
there will be a clinic and workout at San Francisco State University
from 10:00 a.m. � 5:00 p.m. All judo players 13 years of age and up,
sankyu and higher, male
or female, are eligible to attend.
There will be a fee. The clinicians will be: � Yasuhiko Moriwaki, 1981 60kg World Champion, Professor, Kokushikan University � Steve Cohen, 1988 US Olympic Team, 2000 Head Coach, US Olympic Team �

On
Sunday 23 February 2003 there will be a girl�s
and women�s only goodwill competition at San Francisco State
University. Girls and women of all
ages are encouraged to participate. There will be individual
matches as well as team matches. Costs: There will be no costs for the daily training 17-21 February 2003. There will be a fee for the clinic on Saturday 22 February 2003. There will also be an entry fee for the competition on Sunday 23 February 2003. These costs are TBA. Lodging:
There are numerous
motels and hotels in San Francisco and El Cerrito. Arrangements must be
